Is it possible to program Atmega chips with just a bootloaded chip? Answered

I was wondering if i could use a atmega chip with an arduino bootloader to program other chips. I have an arduino uno, and it doesnt have ISP abilities yet due to software issues. So i want to try using a bootloaded chip to program other chips. Could i stick it into my uno to program it, and then take it out and program other chips? Just wondering :)
Thanks
