Is it possible to put a straight bend in a perspex sheet? Answered

I want to put a sheet of perspex  on the back of a shower cubicle on an inside corner without joining it at the corner Is it possible to bend a sheet of perspex at a 45% angle

Lay the sheet out so that it hangs over the edge of a (heat resistant) table or a metal straightedge, with the edge running along the line where you want the bend to be. Get a friend and a couple of heat guns. VERY carefully heat along the edge, very evenly and using low heat, from both above and below if you can manage it. When the perspex begins to sag, stop heating and let it sag under its own weight. Catch it when it reaches the angle you want and hold it there until it firms back up.
It may help if you make an angle gauge out of plywood for each end of the sheet and put a nail or screw in at the proper angle to catch the edge of the sheet when it sags.

It is possible, but you will find it hard and/or time-consuming. You need to heat the sheet along the line where the bend is, enough, but not too much.
You might think about taking an electric heating device apart, uncoiling the heating element, rigging it into to a straight-line one/two wire heater and leaving it under the sheet until it goes soft. Or you might think of cutting it and using bathroom sealant instead

As Steve said, yes. You might have some luck with this instructable, OR if you asked the technology department at a local school you might be able to use one, most have them i think, though they only bend lengths of about 40cm if I remember correctly.

It might just be easier to butt them up like you said you didn't want to and just seal them with some clear sealant.

Yes, sure, but not easily without the right tools. How long is the piece, and the fold you want to make ?
