Is this illigal? Answered

Would making homemade shotguns and handguns be considered to be illigal? I've made one, it was awsome. I took an old computer moniter and shot it. It went all the way through.Of course, when trying it the fist time, i mounted it to a tripod and pulled the trigger using string just to make sure the pipes were not going to blow up on my face!

Is there a point to all the commenbts above? Making your own firearm can be exceptionally dangerous if you do not know what you are doing. As far as legality, no firearm can be considered legal until it passes approved firearm standards, and passes experimental firearm standards, which requoires an expert firearms analyst to inspect the device prior to it being approved to be fired. Maybe you think you know about gun-powder/black-powder, but you best not have to need advice from here to see if it is safe if you knew what you were doing. Gun-powder can be dangerously-explosive when confined, as with any explosive compound, even gasoline. Don't play with explosives unless you know what you are doing, or you risk losing an appendage or worse...Explosives are not to be taken lightly, as they can do more than simply make a loud noise, but they can, when confined, eviscerate an entire cement-truck to oblivion under the right circumstances... Even a 15-grain gunpowder explosion can take your arm off...Never take it lightly...

How? If you mean by clicking flag again and clicking "no", that doesn't unflag it.

depends on where you live : )

USA FEDERAL (not state-that can be different) rules are that you can make something that is legal to own. you may not be able to sell or give it away, and your local sheriff may arrest you. but the way things are being cooked, even federal laws might not save you : )

try "the legal side" of

you will have to register to get in.

On second thought, I don't think it would be a very good idea. Just becuase of the potential dangers, kinda like "grow your own 10x potent weed". I know you don't mean any harm but it just wouldn't be very smart.

Yes, there is a certain amount of sincerity to that, minus the "Codesending asshole department of anti-noobs" thing.

Well seeing as you need a license to have a gun..you probably need one to make them as well.
