Kairah's Knex Train V01 [T.N.K.I.T. Entry] Answered

Here is my entry for the T.N.K.I.T. A huge K'nex locomotive. Including whistles, seats, a passengers cabin, drivers cabin and a (moving) cloud of steam coming from the top! It uses the Trekker engine and rides on the old rollercoaster track.

WOW, after seeing this I subscribed immediately, but you should post this as a video man, forum topics get far less views.

Thanks for subscribing :) I could have posted it as video, but then I cant show the pictures as well I think...

You can post a slideshow, they can have videos. :-)

no problem, I just wanna share this thing with the world, because it's AWESOME

this is just amazing!

Really, really smashing job. By far the best entry yet! Great job on the video as well. By far your best build. My only suggestion would be to try to figure out a way to add those pistons on the wheels on the engine. Otherwise, fantastic build, great job, high fives all around! You should make an instructable too.

I might post instructions for a basic train, the wheels, motor part and such. But I have my doubts if anyone would make it. I didn't add any pistons because each wheel had to be able to turn left or right. If the wheels had been fixed the train could only make much larger turns (too large for my room).

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was so amazing, why didn't you make anything for round 2?

Well... I didn't have enough time (with school and work).

Thanks for all the nice comments! :)

IM SORRY, ITS JUST SO AMAZING I HAD TO SAY THIS AMAZING THING WAS AMAZING 3 TIMES... :)

Where did you get the track?  And where can I get it?
Plz  reply

 I bought mine here
>Click<
Its the same track as used in the old rollercoaster and big ball machine.

They say:

The shops in this website can be used to order k'nex and kid k'nex sets and parts for shipping to all countries worldwide, other than USA and Canada.

If you are based in USA or Canada, we would recommend purchasing via the k'nex shop at www.knex.com

So yea... You could try to ask them directly if you really need some special part that knex.com doesnt have. Someone (in the USA) from the knex forum ordered parts from them before.

its amazing !!!
i tried making one but it doesn't look that good

Wow! No wonder why you got first!

That's pretty sweet. I especially love the smoke, but the whole rail system is cool too. The attention to detail is MINDBLOWING

Hot damn.

good job this is awesome just a question did you get all your knex off ebay

No, only some special parts like the black rods, black connectors and some orange connectors. The rest of my knex I bought off marktplaats (dutch website).

Triple post, sorry again ;) Does it have any added functions?

The added functions are: - Smoke that moves when the train makes a turn. - Steering wheel (also rotates like the smoke) - Rear whistle - Front whistle It is very reliable now. The train used to shake a lot so I had to improve the small cars (if you call it like that) under the chassis several times. It is a modular design, you can take out the engine part from the locomotive. Or remove the small cars from beneath the loco/passenger's cabin. And it doesn't bend ;)

Sorry for the double post, but is it reliable? Does the chassis bend or break often, i mean?
