LIM Question Answered

I have a question about linear induction motors. I can't seem to actually find the answer anywhere. Is one rail a permanent magnet and the other an electromagnet, or are both of them electromagnets?

Yeah, I just seem to have problems with searching. They just never work out. It's probably because I was searching for "linear induction motor."

A good strategy with Google is to start specific (as you did), then remove qualifiers (e.g. remove "induction"). Also try synonyms.

That's my usual strategy. Sometimes I'm just small-minded.

Probably more impatient then small minded ;-)

Yes. Luckily, my impatience comes in five-minute monthly bursts. That must have been one.

it does take a certain panache to do good searches, and just a little practice, but I have had my own share of frustrations online doing searches also :- )

Yeah. I think everyone's had a few searching troubles :) Most of my problems mostly arise from searching for C++ help.
