Looking for a plastic etching or scribing kit to place my name on sunglasses so I never lose them again! Answered

Does anyone know of a way to imprint my name in ordinary plastic objects so I can identify them with my name and phone number? I have a metal etching kit, but I can't seem to find anything similar with plastic.  I know that I can scribe it by hand with a dremel, but I want something more regular and 'pro' looking than that.

Get someone to laser-etch them. It needn't cost much to do.

Laser etching would be my first choice as well if you are going for a 'pro' look. Several shops will custom engrave an image file onto your object of choice. Last time I did that was for a gift zippo lighter. IIRC it cost about 5 euro for a couple lines of text.

On the down and dirty side the dremel is a good idea but a soldering iron will do as well. Depending on how handy you are with the dremel you can probably get it to look pretty good. Print out a stencil, glue/hold it in place and dremel the text. The soldering iron option will work but will look pretty bad (a friend of mine took an iron to my calculator once...)
