Got this from Carryology: http://www.carryology.com/2011/09/12/hacks-turning-plastic-bags-into-radness/

Question: If you take a bunch of radness (8+ sheets) /\, will it eventually become bulletproof?

It's a cool material but it's really nothing like tyvek. I have an 'iblel for fused plastic too.
The difference is that tyvek has little fiber filaments in it, that make it much more durable and tear resistant even when it's thin and flexible.
Fused plastic has no fibers. It also does not have the breathability of tyvek.

Bulletproof materials work by absorbing the impact of the bullet and resist the tearing of the fragments going through. You would need way more laminations to reach the effectiveness of kevlar fabric bound in plastic resin.
