Make a Letterpress Printed Product Answered

Picture of

Love the look of letterpress and want to get an idea of how it gets made? Printer SIMPLESONG has created this quick tour of the process of how they make a card on their machine from 1906. It's awesome to see that the old equipment is still working just fine, making cool new stuff.

Well, thanks for the inspiration, I followed the link, read, learnt about the use of polymer plates, which is an excellent link from future tech to past.

In the three days since reading it, I managed to get myself a nice business card sized Adana letterpress. I am working on getting some new rollers, and making my own letter press business cards!

Here is a pic, and also a forum topic.

A printing technique where an inked plate with a raised design is pressed into a piece of paper. It creates a nice debossed effect.
