Melamine boards Answered

I bought a large melamine board from the local hardware store to use as a white board, but I have a problem. The problem is that, the whiteboard ink beads and dry up within a few seconds after writing. How do i fix this?

You might try "finishing paper" - a very fine grade of sandpaper. A rub-over will leave a lot of fine-scratches and render the surface less shiny.
I think your problem is that the laminate is hydrophobic and whiteboard ink is water-based. Organic-solvent-based inks wouldn't do that to you.

Try washing the board down with a solvent, such as methanol or white spirit, to take the shine off a bit.
