Mixing different densities ? Answered

You stated that different densities sand differently. Knowing that, how do you avoid sanding too much next to a piece that needs more sanding?

Sanding wood of different densities, like in my magnetic knife holder, can be tricky. You can see in the last picture of that step in my link where a softer wood sanded more than the more dense one. For times like this it's best to go slow and constantly check your work.
