Multi use welder ? Answered

Hi I'm looking at this welder http://www.everlastgenerators.com/product/multi-pr... for rebuilding a classic truck. Mostly sheet metal repair and some frame welding.

Thanks in advance.

That looks like a cool machine! Never seen anything like it.

Using a stick welder for thin sheet material can be tricky. How deep of a weld will you need to get for your framing?

I like using an TIG torch for sheet welding because it's quiet and clean. (My favorite kind of work in the shop :P)

Have you used a TIG welder before? It takes a little practice to get your wire feed right so be sure you have lots of scrap material around.

Most of the frame is 1/4" , I've done very limited welding. The benefit of this welder would be cutting, MIG , TIG and Stick all in one. Thanks for your help.

The Everlast machine you referenced does not have mig capabilities. There are several Everlast machines that do have Mig/Stick/Tig (lift tig) capabilities. Hope this helps.
