My favourite button, GONE!!!! Answered

The usual button for viewing all comments that was right above the little window with comments in it is gone! Now you have to click on the comments button to do that! Why?

I just "view all steps" by default.

Not the same thing. Bartboy is talking about the form "view all" link (now the word "Comments" itself) available from within your profile, where you can go from a box containing just the few most recent comments to the complete list. You might have figured this out from the three different times in his topic where he uses the word "comments" to describe the situation.

When you view all of the steps, all of the comments are at the bottom. Nevermind...

Erm, no... There could be hundreds more, where you have to go to a next page...

Without speaking for the staff, having both is redundant. The word Comments, as a hyperlink, is a natural way for you to access your comments.

Did you read the second last line?

Yes, of course. You asked "Why?" as in, "why was the [view all] button removed and now I have to click Comments"? I answered that. Were you asking a different question? If so, please clarify.

Stupid me..... Well, I like having both, it seems simpler.

Yes. There are good arguments for multiple parallel interfaces. My bias is toward "natural language" hypertext rather than menus and control panels.
