My solar garden light is working backwards how can i fix it? Answered

Hey guys

I brought a solar garden light to light up a sign in mums garden so i chopped off the led and soldered in a length of wire, then when it was all connected up i put it out in the sun and noticed it lit up and when i covered the panel the light went out. Whats wrong with it how do i fix it?

Answers appreciated

sounds like the electronics could be mixed up somehow. you could solder in a relay switch to fix the problem without messing with the circut board or anything. unless the problem is with your battery. many solar lights use the solar power to charge a battery in the day and then the battery powers the lights at night. maybe your battery is dead or something. just a few things to try.

You'll have to move to the opposite hemisphere.

Assuming you didn't do anything else you have soldered the LEd the wrong way round.
