Need help to make my shirt vibrate!!! Answered

I have a dream of having a shirt that vibrates when i hug people, i think it will be like a nice surprise when it happens. I have looked around and no body makes anything like this, none i can get at least. i have seen on here how to make little vibrating motors and thread pressure sensors but i have no clue how i would go about combining it all into a shirt. Really need someone to help me make this reality so if you think you can or know someone who can please contact me!

lets see pressure sensor +somthing that vibrates=here you go

Couldn't you just electrocute yourself / both of you?

Electro-hug, bzzzzzzzzzz!

This way does sound a lot more like what i had in mind. my only issue still would be finding the best type of motors to use, how many to use, and how to power ( size and amount of batteries ) This is mostly the stuff that I needed help to figure out. I want to make sure you can feel it vibrate and I don't want to have the motors burn out too fast because I over powered them.

You need to find someone that is familiar with using arduinos or a similar microprocessor unit. Lilypads are arduino boards that are meant to be sewn into a garment with connecting holes that you sew conductive thread to. You can make or buy pressure sensitive patch sensors and place them anywhere on the garment. When that sensor is pressed or pushed against, the arduino knows to turn on the vibrating motor and make it pulse or stay on for a length of time. A motor shield add-on circuit board(or suitable h-bridge circuit) is needed for the arduino to control motors. You then have to think about battery power considerations for your arduino and motors. Good luck.

although, that World Peace and End Global Warming Shield for the arduino is not doing so hot in sales, maybe they are taxing it too heavily?
