Need something to demonstrate in 3 minutes Answered

For a class I'm taking, I need to make a speech in 3 minutes that demonstrates how to do something. It could be something very simple, but being the person that I am I want it to be at least mildly impressive. My hunch was to do something computing related with my eeepc and a projector, but that idea got nixed. I'm also interested in electronics, though, and I have a lot of stuff in my junk box. Anyway, I'm not asking anyone to do my work for me, this is more about presentation skills. But if you happen to have an idea of what I can do quickly and with minimal likelihood of failure I'd be eternally grateful.

I probably should let everyone know what I did. Basically, I had this little ethernet hub I was going to take apart, so I brought it in and told people how to recognize components (ICs, LEDs, caps, &c;) inside. I called it "how to take apart electronics and recognize the components inside". It went over well, and I got an A- on the project. Thanks to everyone who commented, for various reasons I couldn't do what y'all suggested but you linked me to some interesting stuff.

Can you make this into a small Instructable? "How to give a 3-minute demonstration". Someone might find it useful in future. L

I've got one. "How to BS your way through a demonstration speech" Haha, you might get creativity points.

take blue colored water and mix it with yellow colored water, it makes green colored water! I dont know, make a night vision web camera Do the old how to shave a head routine. I took speech before and one girl told how to tie your shoes.

I would explain how an electric motor works. With some wire, a magnet, and some a battery, you can easily make a motor in three minutes that works, and can explain it. It inspires!

Explain how an electromagnet works, and make a very strong one power by like, three nine volts.
