maybe make the mag more "open" and then add a rubberband on the inside of the blue hinge? then let the rubberband push it up.

i might use it in my next instructable...........but the pusher does not make it auto-load because I had to add a knob that you turn after every shot

use a rubberband on a lever.

that could help, because then the rods are not pushing on the loaded one, making for less friction.

wow. that IS a good idea. unfortunately, it barely makes it out of the barrel.....

unless you add some large rubber bands on the knob

Hmm I found that with a thing enough rubberbands you can push it down from the top with a connector. The rubberband would go through the indents or whatever you call them on the ends. It's not reliable enough as far as I know to make a magazine with but it does work better than I expected. I just thought I'd throw that out there to claim the idea for credit =P no really I'll think up something.

Wow horrible grammar...I wish I was using firefox right now. Alright I ment thin rubber band. I'll also explain it better. What I did any ways was put a rubberband around the connectors on one side at the top. I used a yellow (better than an orange) to push the side over the magazine down. The rubber band would go around the rods in the magazine when positioned right.

Looks pretty good but limited. It would probably be easier to figure out a spring mechanism. I wonder though if we could figure out a pusher that works with rotation...then we could use rubberbands or a spring motor.

yeah spring is a good idea, but some or most of us don't have access to springs.

Yeah but it is in the same position as rubber bands. Generally if you can get some rubber bands some where you'll hopefully be able to get springs. I only have one and it is way too big to fit in a magazine like this so I'm going to make my own replacement "spring" mechanism.

another idea is somehow make a z shaped spring, no using coils..

I know. Real magazines usually use a zigzag shaped spring. I'm searching around for common house hold items that could be formed into a Z easily and will have a long lasting life...I hate Goldilocks situations.

maybe you can use bendy rods as the pusher.

Yeah I thought of that too but they are just difficult to use. They're also two wide folded only once and I'm not sure how well you could fold it into three or four rows. Who knows it might work.

Sorry for double posting but could you try something? This is just an idea before (if) I find a better solution. I only have two hinges so I can't try this but couldn't you sort of make a zigzag with multiple hinges? It would take up a lot of space but theoretically it should be able to extend more and thus store more ammo.

Nah never mind I tried with the two I have and I wasn't really thinking. The hinges are longer than the magazine allows so they wouldn't have enough room.

really cool and simple, only thing bad is that the hidden pusher takes up a lot of room but thats no problem and another thing is it only goes up to a certain height but its a really good idea
