Non-staining coloring for water? Answered

Hey all,

I have an idea for art thing I want to print in translucent PLA.  What I want to do is have some colored fluid (water) which you'll be able to see circulating (hopefully in interesting ways) around all the printed pipes and cavities and things inside.

The issue is, I don't want to use anything that will stain the plastic over time.  Thoughts?

Like antifreeze? Little toxic, but could work, I guess.

Maybe add glitter to the water instead of colorant.

I like that idea. I'm just a little concerned what it would do to the pump.
