Whats better than a good prank? How about one that can be made at home for under $10.00. (any good ideas accepted)

I cannot work out the difference between Bullying and a prank except the prank is "supposedly funny". It is in fact only funny to the perpetrator annd not the recipient. Saying sorry, it was a joke, does not cut it. I had a friend who's boy friend was "pranking" all the time making more and more complex ideas and more other people involved. Believe me it was not in the least funny. I decided that some of you would think that i'm a party pooper but I decided that my fear of criticism should not prevent me giving my point of view.

Unscrew your shower nozzle thingy and put a boullion cube in and screw it back on. The next showerer (hopefully not you) will get a beefy surprise.

There's always the classic saran wrap on the toilet seat. But my personal favorite (I've heard, I've never been so cruel as to actually do it) is to get powdered methyl blue (a cell-stainer used in biology) and mix it with a petroleum jelly. Rub a little of that on the underside of a door knob. When your target opens the door, they'll get some dark blue goop on their hand. If you're lucky, they'll try to wash it off. The water will dissolve the methyl blue and stain their hands. The more they wash, the bigger the stain gets. Lasts for a couple weeks. Heard that one from a former Navy Seal.

Yeah well, the instructions on some of those kind of products warn not to get it anywhere near mucus membranes (like inside the nose, eyes, an other bodily orifices), so that could become more than just a prank.

rewire the time switch in a staircase so that the light is on all the time and goes off when you click the switch (normally clicking the switch is like 'give me more time of light')

plug the drain pipe in air conditioner systems so they begin to drip water from the vents after some hours

replace all the starters (in fluorescent lights) in a class room with bad ones. when you turn on the light all lamps glow in the ends as if they are bad

hide a smoke bomb inside a computer and connect it to the power supply

connect diodes to incandescent lightbulbs all over a room. it makes them flicker and drive people mad

trip rcd again and again at the moment one plugs in a soldering tool in our electronics class (i watch him from another place in the room and stick a capacitor into the socket at the exact moment he plugs in the tool. he kinda wtf are all those suddenly bad ?!?! they worked ok 2 hours ago)

take screenshot of the desktop in a library computer running windows. boot a linux live cd on it and display the screenshot in fullscreen with the image viewer

download picture of a blue crash screen from the internet and open it in full screen

'upgrade' the windows xp computers to vista / 'infect' them with virus / 'break' them with critical sysem error / etc using the same technology

make an audio cd with 35 min silence and then the tune of the bell in school (its a tune chip that plays some squarewave melodies). put it in a player and hide it all inside the ceiling in a class room

strech 2 parallel bare conductors under the end of the desk (so you touch them if you catch the end of the desk with ur hand) and connect to charged camera flash capacitor

connect the filling pipe of a toilet flush tank (after the float and valve) to a sprayer and aim it out from inside thru a small crack in the cover of the tank

replace a shower head with a garden sprinkler (at school trip)

drill a chalk and stick a head of strike anywhere match into it + add some gunpowder

post a message that includes /img/ http://example.net/logout.php /\img/ in a forum (did not work)

few attempts to make people quit smoking - involving gunpowder and gasoline and small capacitors charged at high volt (hidden in the filter of the cigarette)

light a cigarette from the other end to a guy that was smoking near me (standing with the back to me and holding a cigarette behind his back)

countless buckets of water above doors / brooms leaning against closed doors from inside / etc (including water electricity and pyro)

if you have chickens(or anything else that would scare the crap out of someone asleep and make them run) wait until someone is asleep and get a rope or cable about 10 yards long with no stretch and a carabiner. clip the carabiner to their belt or shoe or something. then tie the other end of the rope to something that will not move(telephone pole or something) do whatever you need to scare them awake and make them run, when they run they get jerked by the rope.

I made this a few days ago after I found the circuit breaker thing in my shed all it really is is a motor attached to a REALLY BIG switch which when turned on makes a really loud noise like its about to explode I put a piece of tape that says "radio" above it so that people might actually fall for it but as soon as the motor switches on they'll learn that I don't mess around with people who come near my workbench

At one time I would, not so much as a prank, but as a deterrant, rig up alarms and 80 v low amp shock coils to different "small boxes" I had to keep prying eyes from them. After a number of late night "waling sirens" or mild shocks, my things were left alone. Still it was kind of funny to see my wife go, OOoo OOO LOL

Awhile back (way way back) I put together a little "box" that was supposed to be a game, but could also be used as a kind of joke. It was fairly simple, a flip/flop and a comparator, plus a timer all inside a box a little bigger then a deck of cards. Press the button and the LEDs began to flash; green for a "yes" red for a "no" and both on or both off for "who knows?" I kind of electronic crystal ball as long as the questions were yes/no. While I held it, I could touch two small aluminum "tabs" that would give me a "yes" answer, or I could hold it nearer the top and get a "no" answer. It was in such a position that the "No" contacts were hard to avoid if holding it, so if I gave it so someone else, they inveritably would get all negative answers. Of course, this is a short term thing, as after awhile, the person would get suspicious. ok, ok, so I go for the geeky pranks.
