People selling instructables on eBay? Answered

I was browsing eBay for Aquariums, and came across this:
eBay Aquarium And it is plans for a coffee table aquarium. I remembered the instructable, and asked to see a sample, and it's a direct copy.

I find this disgraceful. I might report this to eBay.

Lol, forgot about this topic. I reported it to eBay, and emailed the guy, needless to say, it's gone. Keep an eye out for more.

I did also emailed him, pointing out the licence violations, and the item was gone before I got back to the description (see my Feb 6th posts for the exact timing).

feel free to. but the content here is free. i think anyone could build stuff from plans on this site and then sell it worry free. not sure though.

No, read the license agreement - you are not allowed to copy the 'ibles for financial gain. The ebayer claims to be the builder of the tank, but by providing the plans here for free he has undertaken to follow the terms of the license.

The seller ended this listing early because the item is no longer available for sale

Some People.....some people. Thats just not cool. Why cant people just get jobs ? m thirteen and nobody will give me a job!

im 14, and have an offer. maybe you should try smaller stores, where they might give you the interview.

yeah. so? does that mean i lose my credibility? what difference does it make?

There is a bunch of teenagers, here, on Instructable, that I find particularly amazing.
They seems maturer and smarter than the average.

I think you can take my surprise about your age as a compliment. =o)

I don't think so.
You call them nerds because you're jealous, don't you ?? =o)

No I'm a really big nerd to..... Well in my class I am...Thats what everyone says

not nerd. nor dork. the only appropriat term is:
SUPER GEEK!!!!!!!!

I thought geek meant over interested in star trek...... The appropriate term would be ULTIMATE NERD. But no dork is not an option I think that means the opposite of being SUPER SMART. And FREAK would be kinda mean Smart professional ? No.

But how would you pronounce that? We need a better acronym.

geek does not mean over intiressted in star treck!!!! it means master of computer technologies. Guy who's an Electrical and Electronic Knowitall

9. geek

A Geek Should NEVER be Confused With a Nerd. Geeks are different in that they do possess social skills, albeit Bizarre ones. Geeks like Star Trek, etc, but also have friends usually, among the mosher/goth community, if not other geeks. A geek is usually physically weak, but his/her goth/mosher friends will often stand up for him/her, as the geek usually puts his friends first. They have a pathological hatred of Townies, Preps}, and [Chavs, and tend to have good taste in music i.e. Punk. They do not get on With Nerds, but will unite with them to pick on dorks, unfortuneately.]

Joey Ramone was a geek and was picked on, but he became a Rock Star and a legend.

super GEEKS unite!!! and our social habits are not bizzar; we just try to: 1) get cool gadjets from other people 2) avoid invitations to icky stuff (like plays, art galeries, clothing stores that dont sell short sleeved white shirts with button down collars, red and white ties with a u shape to them or labcoats) 3) attempt to demonstrate mastery of all subjects 4) use our technical jargon, seeing as we are hopefully with somone who understands it here are a few geek phrases that should set off alarm bells: 1)i will return your expensive/rare cabel tomorrow 2) of course i wont change anything without telling you 3) can i borrow you phone/beeper/blackberry/laptop/tv 4) its just a buisness convention headed by scott adams. of course its an important and professional event.

hmm why did the bottom of the paragraph come out as a link ? I am sure i didnt add one there.

Try warehouses. In the summer they usually hire (I know from experience). Or if there are orchards around where you live, give them a shot.

If you ask me, odds are, some of the great product ideas here are already being ripped and manufactured in full scale somewhere in China right this very moment.

that raps up this topic

Rap ? as it the "music"? Or do you mean "wrap", like cellophane L0L

Oh it is "spelled" ok, its just the wrong word, spelled correctly :-) I know, I am guilty of not perusing my posts before hitting POST sometimes too.

in my defense, the internal spell check does not work on the computers at school and the lab. but yeah, i should re-read.

It wouldn't matter though, because RAP is a word and is spelled correctly. So the "spell checker" would not have found it, but maybe MSWORD might have flagged it as improper grammar :-) You got to watch those homonyms LOL

Looks like s/he already sold a couple....

That's a bad, bad thing. I don't think they should be able to sell it unless it's their original idea.
