Can you update the lesson to use Cura instead?
Absolutely. Cura can do everything Simplify 3D can as far as I know. I don't know it personally but it's widely used with great results from what I've seen.

Cura has a lot of great features that I found lacking in Autodesk's Print Studio (more 3d print support options for one). Unfortunately, one thing Cura couldn't do out of the box was to export the proprietary .g3drem file format that the Dremel Ideabuilder 3D20 uses. To fix this I wrote an open-source plugin for Cura that allows the user to export the .g3drem file format as well. Feel free to give it a try: https://github.com/timmehtimmeh/Cura-Dremel-3D20-Plugin
That's awesome! Thanks for sharing. Print Studio is great for DLP printing, but the support structures are definitely inferior when it comes to FDM printing.
Ya, i've installed it. looks easy enough and there are lots of videos out there about it. thanks for the classes. I've ordered the CR-10 mini. This will be my first 3D printer so I'm excited to see it show up!
