Anybody know some quick easy toys to make? Simple, with fairly cheap materials?
If you have a piece of paper, and a wastebasket, you can crumple the piece of paper into a ball, and throw this wadded ball of paper towards the wastebasket, with the intent of putting the wadded paper into the wastebasket. If the wadded paper lands in the wastebasket, then you win. If the wadded paper goes anywhere else, besides in the wastebasket, then you lose. Obviously this game is more challenging the farther away the wastebasket is. Also there can be obstacles in between you and the wastebasket, so that maybe a direct trajectory is impossible, so that you have to bounce it off the wall, or some other piece of furniture. I tell ya! This game of throwing paper, or even other trash, at the wastebasket, this is a game that NEVER gets old! Also BTW, even if the wadded paper ball makes it into the wastebasket, that does not necessarily mean the wadded up paper is trash now. You can just reach in, pull it back out, and start the game over, and keep playing as many times as you want. It's just that easy! Anyway, I hope this helps.

Simple and cheap. Cut a bunch of wood blocks for kids to stack and build with.
Because of the range of toys, gender, cost, size, age of child and many other variables it is somewhat better to advise you to google search for Making toys / DIY toys/ and similar things examplehttp://www.sciencetoymaker.org/http://www.rd.com/home/17-easy-toys-you-can-make-at-home/http://familycrafts.about.com/od/toystomake/Toys_to_Make.htm And one I really likehttp://www.arvindguptatoys.com/toys.html
