Security Certificate Expired Answered

Has your security certificate expired?

I am using Internet explorer 8 on Windows 7 32bit.

Here are some pictures, because I suck at explaining things.

Screenshots are of where the webpage should go, and the address bar

You're using https to access Instructables? I don't think you should be doing that. In particular, the certificate which is supposed to be coming from I'bles is actually registered to an entirely different set of domains (see the fourth picture in your set).

On my machine (Firefox, MacOSX), the report is not that the certificate has expired, but rather that it is not valid at all:

www.instructables.com uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is only valid for the following names:

*.a.ssl.fastly.net , purge.fastly.net , fast.wistia.com

(Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)

Check your computer's time & date.

Sometime, if it's something like 2006 (dead on-board battery), and certificate start at 2010, browsers will give out an "invalid sertificate" errors
