I need to lubricate my rubiks cube should i use petroleum jelly or silicone
I'm not sure but isn't there like a rubber band mechanism that holds it all together inside? I wouldn't know which one might have a reaction with the plastic used to make the cube. Maybe just try a dry lubricant like graphite or just dust it all with baby powder?

An oil based lube like petroleum jelly wears down rubber.
thx 4 the suggestion
I used graphite to lube it. Just take the tip off a pencil use a paint scraper and grind it down on a piece of paper. Then you take the paper rollit up so it fits in the crevice you make by taking off one piece, and put it in and blows through the other end. Close it up, work it around and there you go.
It shouldn't need it - has it got grime in it or been taken apart?
