Single thread & the needle just will not stay together? Answered

I tried using the sewing method with the double thread and I passed, if I do say so myself! BUT the single thread sewing is a challenge for me. When I began sewing the "dangling end" kept right on coming through the needle and I would need to rethread the needle. Should I have tied knots at both ends of the single thread? In the photos I reviewed it does not seem that there is a knot at the "dangling end"

Nope! Only one knot at the very end. The single thread technique can be tricky at first - it's all about pinching the thread against the needle as you hold it. It'll get easier the more you do it!

You can secure the thread so it doesn't slip out of the eye by taking a couple of stitches through the tail. This is the only video I could find that shows how to do it, but the video is kind of hard to see. When you pull the thread down off the needle after you do what she says, it can't fall off.
