Smartphone camera? Answered
I have developed an interest in photography again since getting a smartphone that takes pretty decent 'snaps' and have now got a HTC U11 which until recently was rated by DxOmark as the best smartphone camera available in 2017. It is rated at 12 ultrapixel which, I understand is superior to a 'megapixel' rating.
You refer to colour temperature and having to get an app than handle this. I do believe this is included as I am from a mechanical background and know how colour temperature affects car headlight bulbs (yellow through to blue).
My standard camera app has a setting for 'white balance', which I believe is what you are referring to. This is in Pro mode. (I've screen captured the options I have in this mode)
I have mainly been trying my hand at outdoor macro type shots. Some examples also attached.
