Solar Panel Monitor? Answered


New to IOT, but not to Automation.

So, I propose to build a remote solar panel meter.

It will consist of the SSD1306 OLED at the remote end.

2 pieces of ESP8266 flavour boards

4 pieces of the INA912 I2C Voltage sensors measuring the output of 4 80W solar panels.

I achieved the project with ESPEasy firware but came unstuck when i tried to add more than one INA914. The firmware wont let you do this despite the module having 20 I2C addresses available.

So, time to try the Arduino way. Enjoying the tutorial, thanks

Cool project idea! You don't learn how to change I2C addresses in this class, but you will learn some intermediate Arduino (try my basic class if you need a catchup: https://www.instructables.com/class/Arduino-Class)
