Splicing a micro usb wire with a male 3 jack RCA?

I want to know if its possible to solder these 2 wires together, since there is one on ebay for a yellow and white, but not a red. Or should I just buy the cable?http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UK-1-5m-Micro-USB-Male-to-2-RCA-AV-Audio-Video-Adapter-Cable-PVC-Copper-Phone-TV-/142338707287?hash=item21240c4f57:g:TAAAAOSwAANY5anJ

Those cables are so cheap, and in fact your local thrift shop probably has a whole stack of them for even less, that you're going to save yourself a lot of time and effort by just buying one now instead of after messing around trying to get your own to work. Even if you can get it working its unlikely to last as long or have as high a quality signal.

If you are planning on buying the either of the needed cables for the splice then definitely don't waste your time and money and just buy the end product right off the bat.

Terminology you want to connect a USB cable consisting of a group of four wires and a shield to a cable consisting of a group of three wires.

Given the micro-USB which has a black Ground wire, a red +5V wire and two signal wires and probably an axial enclosing shield like wire...

There is a disparity of one extra wire.. Why do you need to do this joining ?

How would we know without knowing what is used for?
