This is it, the most durable knex lightsaber ever imagined. Each piece doubles up the next creating a blade that will not bend nor break, even with high speed collision. The hilt (figure 2) is also quite detailed considering this is made with knex. The only con to this is that the blade doesn't retract. If you like what you see then tell me. I will make it an instructable if asked.

Ok, but not really original.

why not original? it uses a different blade connection system than the other lightsaber on this site.

Doesn't mean anything to me. What I was saying is that while it may be built well, there is nothing new about it.

there is only one other lightsaber on this site that is made of knex. However, there are like 700 block trigger, no mag guns on this site. Seems sort of original to me.

Yeah, I never said anything about 700 block trigger guns. I'm saying this isn't original. God, people can't take criticism at all.

I feel like i am having my debate in school all over again, except on a different topic. Obviously, you can't convince me to the fact that this isn't original. I can't convince you that it is original. I say we leave it at this. So, how is the weather in (insert city, state here).

that is a lot of finals. Why so many? I guess American schooling is quite different from British schooling. I have 1 today, 2 on Thursday, 2 on Friday, and 1 on Monday. What classes do you take that you have so many?

I'm British too, just my school is 9th in the country :P and I have had Maths 1, Physics, Geography, Design and Technology, Biology, Chemistry, History, English, and Maths 2. We have end of year exams in all subjects. I had Spanish and French a while back, and we have RS next week on friday. We only have PE in year 11 for GCSE.

well I am american, and your schooling must be much more difficult than american. I actually take design and technology next year in my school. My finals were Algebra (i guess the equivalent of math 1), chemistry/physics, American history, (thats kind of weird to say to someone from Brittan) Health, English, and technology/ home economics. I have taken all but 3 finals, 2 of which are today

That’s cool. I bet you could use it as a rollercoaster support.

Pretty much. I don’t see much use in knex swords. Other than for looks.

this thing is sturdy enough to hack through knex guns (like one with a long barrel) And second, if you were to shoot someone using this, they could easily block your round. Like I said before this is not like other swords on this site. If at maximum velocity (top speed), and this sword happens to hit something, it will not break or bend. The worst that may happen is that a orange connector snaps off. But go ahead and build your roller coaster.

>__< a "star-wars-laser-sword-roller-coaster-support"?? @ Osi, it doesnt look bad but you could add some more details to the handle using wheeltires and those tiny black parts from knex-man. And also why is the handle red and the sword greygreenish? It should be the other way around :P

Select as Best AnswerUndo Best Answer

user
osi (author)Kairah2009-05-29

First off, the handle is red because the pieces must all be the same length for the overlapping to work. second the blade uses the green colored red length rods. (I don't have enough red ones to do it the other way around) I will update the image with the tires if that idea works. What is the knex-man set? The final thing I have to say is: where is everyone coming up with roller coaster support?

I mean those parts in pic6, they are the hands of a knex man. :P And I also made my own lightsaber :D If you look closely I put some gears inside the handle and I put a red button on the front.

oh I get it. By the way, yours is much cooler than mine. How strong is it though? I would say that that is worth posting.
