I think it has a twinge of sarcasm in it, because we get so many months off during the summer, it is a wonder ANYTHING sticks with any students except those most dedicated.....so, in other words, it is US that has a "lot of time on their hands".

. It varies, but usually somewhere around 3 months of Summer vacation and 9 months of schooling.
