String Contest Question Answered

If the contest is called the "String Contest" why is the picture full of ropes?
Hmmm...

Or maybe it should be added that rope is eligible too, It might not be obvious to everyone...

Maybe it's close-up string?

Looks like the contest has an entry with paracord. Maybe Robot does not know the difference between thread, cord, twine, string, rope, computer string, stringed instruments, or we are just getting stringed along...

Twine, cord, etc., are synonyms of "string."

The NSA would have us believe otherwise (National String Association, odd, they aren't listed in the phone book but keeping ties on everyone...)

They're currently being hacked by the KGB (Knotty Government Blackhats), so they may not be watching us right now...

Don't get so wound up, you may get into a bind and tripped up.

I'll be honest; I'm at the end of my rope.

No worries, we'll cut you some slack.

You're both WRONG. It's a contest that's secretly asking you to apply the rules of quantum physics to prove the theoretical existence of strings in the makeup of the universe, and possibly the multiverse. Whoever shall achieve this great feat shall have fame, fortune, and a complementary tall stein of grogg to boot! :P

Guys, why make it so complicated?
It already states to be a string contest, so the discussion here is pretty much useless.
After all it is not our fault that someone used the wrong images to start a contest about string progamming in C++.
Although I have to wonder why I can't find any code in the contest entries....

They're probably coming up with more stringent guidelines as we speak...

But if we stop we'll never know the lengths to which our tie can go...
