The '+' signs disappear in my image tags after saving and closing the page Answered

When I add an image tag (or whatever they are called) on my images with some text on it, the site does not always save those as it should. I especially experienced this problem when having the '+' sign in the text. After saving, closing and reopening my browser, the + sign is replaced by a space.

I'm using Firefox 24.0 on Ubuntu 12.04 with cinnamon.

Is there anything i can do to use the + sign in my images?

Thanks in advance.

Just to be clear: by tagging I mean adding the "comments" on a (part of) the picture you added to your instructable so that the text will appear when the user moves it's mouse over the place.
I now see how it's confusing with the "Tag files as:" but I don't know how it's called otherwise.

After I add the text with the + character to my picture it's there till I save the draft. Then it just disappears and when I edit the text again I see it's just been replaced by a space. If you want I could make some screenshots to make it clear.

I have no script blocking add-ons and cleared my browser cache but the problem stills exists.

Thank you for describing what you are experiencing. I can confirm that the "+" is not valid when using the image notes on an image after it's been added to a step when editing.

We've made a lot of changes to our editor lately, and are about to release a new editor interface that may solve this. Thanks for letting us know!

So I understand your concern completely: You cannot use the '+' character when tagging your photos. Is this when you are uploading or tagging after they are uploaded?

How are you trying to use the '+' character - Are you attempting to tag the file so it shown in multiple places when searched or for multiple keywords?

Also, please make sure you have no script-blocking add-ons running (like AdBlock, GreaseMonkey, or LastPass), and that you have cleared your browser cache and refreshed the page.
