Ultra low voltage buck converter Answered

I want to step down voltage from a 1.2/1.5v battery to 0.05V. Any advice?

Yes I would be curious to know the actual purpose of this also. To test battery protection (low voltage condition) circuits?

Or would it be used to trickle charge Lith-ion batteries?

I know of at least one Primer on LDO regulators but it gets REALLY complicated without a proper dedicated IC or maybe even a uP

If you know the load (and it's constant!), you can always throw a resistor in series; Ohm's law gives you the voltage drop trivially. You could also get an LV regulator, and do the job right. What do you need a 50 mV source for, though?
