Kiteman you watch family guy!!! What channel does it come on? Are you not offended by all the brit jokes they make???

It's on BBC 3 - they show two episodes most nights.

As for the Brit jokes, most of them are upper class jokes, and (much as many Brits will try and deny it), there is still a firm class system in this country, very much an us-and-them attitude between workers and toffs.

How many parties operate in the US? Two, that I can see. We have dozens over here, and we don't have elections to find out who can stand for an election - as long as you fit fairly loose standards (over 21, relatively sane, not in jail), and get a certain number of signatures from people to say they think you should stand, you're up for it. You can contest an election without spending millions, and if you're doing the job properly you can be re-elected as often as the public will put up with you.

If I remember correctly, Will Rogers once said: "I'm not a member of any organized political party....I'm a Democrat..."

In USA Politics, an independent is not associated with either of the two more well known organized political parties.

I would kill to get BBC here. I could if my mum would let me set up a 5 foot satalite on the roof to pick up the signal. One of my best friends went to europe for a few months and see really noticed how your society classes people. We do that to here in the US but it is not as bad. What are some good colleges in the UK and how do they feel about american kids going over there???

No it is not the same they "dumb" it down for americans.... I have become really intrested in FTA signals. It is free satalite signals. You just need a satalite and a recevier. I would get more and better channles that I get now paying 40 bucks a month for cable. My mom does not like the idea of a 5 foot satalite. It is free once your buy satalite and recevier. You should look into it. BBC brodcast one of there stations FTA.

Do you intend to launch a satellite ? :-)

No......I might have to when i get around to taking over the world....would you like to be my left hand man when i do. Scott called right. You need a dish out side to receive the signal and you need a box on top of your tv to decode the signal. When i get back to my PC I will post some links and maybe and instructable on the subject.

Well, we could justify it by saying you need to be able to tune into a satellite (i.e. needing one) plus the other equipment :-) Point of view; it changes everything....just ask Einstein :-)
