What can I make with 72" x 60" x 1.5" foam pad? Answered

We recently replaced our air bed and inside it was a queen-size piece of closed-cell foam rubber. Seems too nice to throw away, but it also takes up a lot of space to store. Does anybody have any creative suggestions for projects? Thanks!

I'm going camping this weekend, so I just may give this one a try - thanks!

  • Padding for a Hallowe'en costume.
  • Cut it into large squares, stack them to make a cube, and then wrap the stack in fabcric to make a foot-stool.
  • Cut to fit the inside of boxes or cases, then cut holes to fit fragile objects such as cameras.

I do like the foot stool idea. That would solve my space problem. Perhaps if I rolled the padding into a cylinder and made my covering open with a zipper, I could reuse the padding yet again if I got tired of the foot stool!
