What could be wrong with my gas oven? Stove top is working but nothing from the oven. No smell of gas from the oven. Answered

Hi there....as previously mentioned in another question I bought a money pit house and it seems one appliance after another is crapping out. I have a gas stove/oven and it worked fine until the other day. I went to use the oven and it is not heating up. I don't even smell the gas when I turn the dial on the oven. The range/burners are working just fine. The pilot light is electric. Any advice would be grately appreciated!

Thank you everyone for taking the time to respond. I believe that it's the ignitor, I am just going to call in the gas guy to fix it. Pretty nervous about messing around with gas. I will let you know how it works out!

It was the ignitor, thanks again! My stove is working perfectly now, for now. Just have to iron out the rest of the kinks and I am on my way to enjoying the money pit!

Does it light at all ? The usual problem is a thermocouple which is designed to extinguish the burners if the flame goes out. Spare TC can be fitted very easily.

Take a look at the main burner - and look for a thin 3mm 1/8" tube sticking into where the flame burns.
