If you want to lose weight and keep it off, you have to increase your resting metabolism. And meat is not going to do that for you. Increased activity and moderately eaten carbs will. Especially at breakfast and before aerobic excercize like biking or running or etc.
First I have to say that while you will lose weight on atkins, it's not a healthy or realistic life style. But, my husband did atkins and i'm the meal maker in the family. One of the things he liked was sandwich meat (roast beef, ham, tuna etc.) with cheese wrapped in swiss chard or collard greens. We also did fried kale which wasn't too bad. Not for me though.
Eat more food, with fewer calories and more nutrients.Try cooking frozen collard greens according to the package directions, then sprinkle on some sunflower seeds. For an option you may not have tried before- try grilling some nopales limpios from a Hispanic grocery. They are low in calories and rich in nutrients.
