What's the best design for a 25cm windmill blade? Answered

I'm building a small windmill, I need it to be as efficient as possible.
What is the best desgin for a blade that is about 25 cm long (diameter)?
And what kind of material should i use to build it. I'm hoping to not use wood, because its kind of hard to cut it into good blades.

My current turbine has three thin blades with angles of attack around 12 degree. Just wondering though, I'm making my turbines out of cardboard right now, any suggestion on what other light but durable materials i can use instead?

Personally I like the old farmer style ones, I had one made of sheet metal, it was quite hardy and even after some brutal damage from the whole windmill falling over is still worked, I'll dig a photo out of it.

If you want something interesting looking, scalable and easy to make savonius turbines are nice, use the search box on the top right of 'ibles to have a look at all the articles...

You could carve wood blades for a wind turbine like the big ones, but it'd be rubbish on a little scale I imagine, because hand carving and balancing them would be tricky, especially if you don't like woodwork.
