Whats the perfect gift for those who have everything (family members of friends)?

What do you get for those who seem to have everything? I asked this question to one of my friends and she said a hug but im thinking something different. What do you get for someone who is happy about everything and doesnt like material items yet gets the latest things when ever they are available? Cause hugs are cool but not what im thinking....

Thanks for your time...

Cherish xx.

I would say give them a plant or a small tree to take care of,try to get one that matches their personality.A tree like a Japanese maple sapline would be great for a guy and something like a butterfly bush would be nice for a ladie, planting and watching them grow will bring happiness to not only the owner but everyone else who sees it.

Something home made, that you can't buy in a store.

Something baked (preferably by YOU)

Membership to an amusement park, museum, art gallery or sports complex

One suggestion: Hit a library, and ask the reference librarian to help you find Ralph Waldo Emerson's essay on gifts. Yeah, I know, but he really did have some insightful things to say about matching gifts to people.

And yes, something  that clearly shows you made an effort to think about what they might like and then put more than a trivial effort into creating it or tracking it down, is always a good place to start.

One of my girlfriends once made me a pot of "flowers" that incorporated some lock parts in its design, referencing my locksmithing interests. It wasn't actually a particularly good piece of art, but I kept it for years (until after a few moves it disintegrated back into its components), because it reminded me of her and of that time in my life and caused me to smile every time I noticed it. Of course that's a case where she wasn't worrying about impressing me, just handing me a reminder that she was thinking about me... and she knew I'd treat it as such. For someone else, she would have done something different.

Make a donation in their name to an organization they support!

Only one thing matters to people you already have everything, sentiment. You could always make them something from this site that is personal to the person.

Give them something personal.
Dig out an old snapshot of something or someone that has meaning for them; honeymoon photos or children's baby pictures, etc. Have it blown up into an 8x10 and framed.
Or gather old photos, snapshots, greeting cards and so on, put them toghether in an album.
Use your imagination, but find something that has a personal meaning to the recipient.
