Would the HV source of a crackle plate work to charge a bank of HV capacitors? Answered

My cousin has an old Crackle plate, like those funky sci-fi glass plates that have lighting that looks like electricity flowing through it, like you get at Spencer's. The edge of the glass broke, and I was wondering if I could use the HV source to charge a bank of electrolytic capacitors for a Marx bank.

I am guessing this is a sort of Plasma plate - The out put will be low current high voltage and at a high frequency. It may work to some degree but more likely will not work.

High voltages are painful and dangerous - your life and others are in your hands.

If it puts out HV dc, yes.
