Wrong display? Answered

I bought the correct display for the PI, one which plugs into the GPIO and HDMI directly. I do not get the splash screen, rather a rolling grey raster. Green light on main board flashes. Don't know if something is fried from static from handling. Any advise? Thanks!

The display should only need to be plugged into HDMI, not any of the GPIO pins. Green light flashing means the pi is booting, but it doesn't seem like your display is working with the Pi. Which display did you buy? It's hard to troubleshoot the multitudes of displays available, have you tried plugging another hdmi source into this display to check if it works to display other images?
