arduino board? Answered

Does a code which already exist gets replaced when we write new code in an Arduino or should we press the reset button before uploading a new code?

Yes, the existing code is replaced when you upload new code to the Arduino board. The reset button starts the program over again, including the "check for new programs" part, which sometimes helps jumpstart the uploading process (and was needed on way older arduino board versions).
