I found that making the square pegs in a 12" diameter log was really difficult. Instead I decided to use 1/2" steel rod and a handy 1/2" x 12" drill bit. The arms work great and I didn't spend days chipping out a square hole. The images show the dummy without the leg. I been on many walks in the forest looking for the perfect leg piece. Recently found it on an old dead ceader. Will upload the finished product later.

Also, the multiple holes in the dummy are for different styles. I practice a few different martial arts (seven star mantis, Goju, chung wah) and I find the dummy to be a good training tool for all of them.
