# can you simplify 123 divide by3 = 41? Answered

Well, 3 and 41 are both prime. See:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Integer_factorization

So I think 123 = 3*41  is about as simple as it's going to get.

So.... 3 goes into 12, 4 times.... 4 X 3 = 12..... bring down the 3.... 3 goes into 3 one time.... 3 - 3 = 0
