charging one battery with another battery Answered

i want to make a project about battery charger.i want to know if a battery can be charged using another battery of same specification.
please help me

You can, but it requires a circuit called a "Boost Converter" to raise the voltage of the battery you are charging off of. To charge, batteries always need a slightly higher voltage that what they are rated to produce. Example: If a battery is rated at 12V, it will require ~14V to charge. Check Wiki for "Boost Converter" and "Joule Thief" (a simple DIY boost circuit).

No, you can't. In order to charge a battery, you need to apply a reverse bias that is larger than the battery's normal forward bias. What you're describing is essentially a short circuit. Both batteries will overheat, and either leak or explode depending on how they're constructed. If you try it, please make sure you write up an Instructable after you're released from the hospital.
