can you guys give me a list of some chemicals that expand when mixed? the reaction's can't be combustion reactions though. that's the only limiting factor.

Add vinegar and sodium bicarbonate(baking soda) and you get the classic erupting volcano. It that what you mean by expanding or stuff that foams up like polyisocyanurate spray on foam insulation. There are also polyurethane foam insulations too. They really are reactions that produce gases to make it foam.

Potassium Iodide and Hydrogen Peroxide. You cant use just 3% Peroxide from Publix, you need 8-30% from suppliers. Try United Nuclear.com
