do you have to be over 21 to enter Answered

im 13 can i enter

if you make a mocktail instead of a cocktail

If it helps, you can get your bartender license and serve alcohol at 18 here in TX even if you can't alcohol and even if it's illegal for others to buy it for you.  Check your local TABC laws, but I don't think a 13 y/o can legally serve alcohol in any state in the US.  And like others have said, a mocktail would be totally fine.  It's pretty easy to take a frozen fruity cocktail, remove the booze, and modify the recipe to make it unique.

That's kinda funny, i mean look at all the words:

Why, thank you for actually reading the terms and conditions.........

It depends on the contest.  Read the official rules for the contest in which you are trying to enter.

Most contests allow people under the age of 18 to enter, but they have to have parental consent (if they win).

When making a forum topic, please remember to use complete thoughts (like, "Do I have to be 21 to enter (insert contest)?  I am only 13", and look for the answer yourself first.  It is clearly listed in the contest rules, which is a link that takes about three seconds to click on.

ok then what about the cocktail vs. mocktail contest

I think his concern, which I don't see addressed, is a 13 year old entering a "cocktail"  ergo, the simple solution is to enter a "mocktail".

In the UK, it would be perfectly legal for a 13 year old to enter with a cocktail, as long as they did not buy the alcohol themselves, nor do they plan to sell it or serve it in a commercial establishment.

(I just bought some beer in a supermarket, and the cashier had to call over a colleague to watch her sell it to me, as the cashier was under 18.)

It would be perfectly legal here to, but the danger is if he has enough personally identifiable information for some overzealous school authority to use "in loco parentis" as an excuse to ruin his life.

As I understand it, as long as he enters with his parents permission, and performs none of the actions on school premises, or in school time, and doesn't use a school computer to post it, not even the infamous ZT should be able to legally touch him.

I know, but the vague details of the forum topic and the complete lack of any effort to look up the rules for himself is what I'm frustrated about...

"Governing Law: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the official rules, or the rights of entrants, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with, the substance laws of the State of California and any applicable laws and regulations of the United States."

I believe you are in Arizona - if it is legal for you to make a cocktail in Arizona, then it is legal for you to enter a cocktail in this contest, as long as you enter it from Arizona.

Is it legal, though?  I don't know, but I know some people you can ask.
