how can i get 6 volts out of a 6 volt motion alarm censor? Answered

i have 6 volt dc motion activated alarm. i need help to to find where i must solder wires so that i will get 6 volts out to activate a solanoid.

Thats not hard just open it up and you have to find where the sensor and reciever all of that junk stops and there should be two wires either going to the two prongs or into an enclosed plastic area. If it is going directly to the two plugs you have to follow the wires to the first element of the circuit which should reduce the voltage to 6 volts. If the wires go into a plactic box area then to the plugs then the exposed wires should produce 6 volts.

Steve's right, its probably specific to the model.

If you look at the circuit, there ought to be several obvious components: The PIR sensor, probably talks to either a micro-controller (makes sense if it takes an infrared remote), which then activates a siren circuit. Find the line that powers the siren and you should be golden.
