how do I take the glare out of glasses in pictures using gimp? Answered

I am editing some photos and noticed that my uncles glasses have a glare in them, what is the best way to take that out using gimp?

Perhaps you could post a link to the original photo, let someone else try to touch it up, and ask how they did it.

You can darken the glare, try to improve the contrast in that area, or clone from a good shot to a bad one, but there is no way to recover information that the camera did not capture.

You may need to get a linear polarizing filter for your camera to avoid this problem in the future.
