how do you make a pulley washline like the amish use? Answered

i know that the pulley closest to the house is larger,possibly a small bycycle wheel. the rope goes around it and out to another wheel or pulley     how do i make one so my wash will go out and back by pulling on the line?

Hang a pulley on each wall.
String a line thru both of them and tie the ends together.
Now pull on the bottom line and the top line will move out or vice-versa.

They can be the same size, there is no benefit to having one larger than the other.

They should be strong enough to handle the weight of the wet cloths.

Use a turnbuckle to stop the lines from sagging - and use a strong enough line, aUV stable covered steel rope is fine.
