I need a butterfly wired stand for a wedding. i need ideas on how i can make those
I'm kind of guessing the wedding is over, but I saw the question over on the sidebar and had to come check it out. I was at my B-I-L not long ago and his GF is an admitted butterfly freak, she asked me if I could show her how to make some wire butterflies like the ones she had hanging in the lavoratory. They didn't seem like they would be too hard to make, wire formed the wings, nylon stockings over that, a bit of a spray paint job on the wings to make them "pretty" and maybe some glitter, then a body made of possibly polymer clay. Don't know if that would help anyone, maybe I could make an ible, but I am stuck in the middle of no place at the moment taking care of family business, so like the others I desperately want to get home and make, it will have to get put on my list. Or maybe I can actually get it done without having to go buy everything new to use for it, since it is mostly scraps afterall.

I'm thinking a good pair of needlenose pliers and a spool of wire, a bit of fun with poked fingers (just kidding, but be careful) and you are there. Just make sure the wire is thick and hard enough to support all it needs to.
